## Solo Adventures

### 1. Summit Mt. Rainier (Camp Muir + Summit Attempt)
- **What:** Guided 2-day summit of the tallest volcano in the Cascades (14,411 ft). Crevasse crossings, glacier travel, sunrise from 14k feet.
- **Where:** Mt. Rainier National Park (~2.5 hrs from SLU)
- **Cost:** ~$1,200 for guided climb (RMI or Alpine Ascents) + gear rental ~$200
- **Time:** 3 days (including travel)
- **Why it's special:** Fewer than 50% of attempts summit. This is a legit mountaineering achievement you carry forever.

### 2. Skydive Over the San Juan Islands
- **What:** Tandem skydive at 13,500 ft with views of the islands, Mt. Baker, and the Olympic range.
- **Where:** Skydive Snohomish (~45 min north)
- **Cost:** ~$280-350
- **Time:** Half day
- **Why it's special:** PNW from 13k feet hits different than anywhere else. Do it on a clear day in July.

### 3. Packwood Lake Solo Overnight Backpack
- **What:** 9-mile hike to a glacial lake, camp solo, journal, reset. No cell service.
- **Where:** Gifford Pinchot National Forest (~3 hrs south)
- **Cost:** ~$30 (permit + gas)
- **Time:** Overnight weekend
- **Why it's special:** Forced disconnection. You said you isolate — this is *intentional* solitude vs. default isolation. Big difference.

### 4. Deception Pass Cliff Jumping
- **What:** Scout and hit the cliff jumping spots at Deception Pass (10-30 ft jumps into deep tidal water).

### 7. Enchantments Thru-Hike (Core Zone)
- **What:** 18-mile point-to-point through the most stunning alpine terrain in the lower 48. Turquoise lakes, mountain goats, granite everything.
- **Where:** Leavenworth area (~2.5 hrs east)
- **Cost:** Free (permit lottery — enter NOW for summer dates, or try day-of walk-up permits at 3 AM)
- **Time:** 1 very long day (start 4 AM) or overnight
- **Why it's special:** Maddie just ran a marathon — she can handle this. It's the crown jewel PNW hike. Instagram will never do it justice.

### 8. Sea Kayak to Blake Island & Camp
- **What:** Paddle from Southworth or rent from Alki, kayak to Blake Island State Park, camp overnight on the beach.
- **Where:** Blake Island, Puget Sound (~8 miles paddle from Alki)
- **Cost:** ~$80-120 kayak rental + camping fee
- **Time:** Overnight
- **Why it's special:** You paddle to your own island for the night. It's absurdly romantic and adventurous for being 30 min from downtown.

### 9. Via Ferrata at Leavenworth
- **What:** Protected climbing route (iron rungs + cable) up a cliff face. No climbing experience needed but it feels exposed and real.
- **Where:** Leavenworth, WA (~2.5 hrs east)
- **Cost:** ~$150-200/person guided
- **Time:** Day trip
- **Why it's special:** All the thrill of rock climbing with safety systems. Great date energy — you're literally trusting each other on a cliff.

### 10. Sunrise Hike to Mailbox Peak (New Trail) + Trailhead Breakfast
- **What:** Start at 4 AM, summit for sunrise (4,841 ft, ~10 miles round trip), cook breakfast at the trailhead after.
- **Where:** North Bend (~40 min east)
- **Cost:** ~$20 (food + gas)
- **Time:** Early morning, done by 10 AM
- **Why it's special:** Sunrise from a summit with your person. Pack a camp stove and make pancakes in the parking lot after. Chef's kiss.

### 11. Orca Whale Watching by Zodiac (Not the Big Tourist Boat)
- **What:** Small zodiac-style boat tour for orca spotting. Way closer to the water, way more intense than the big ferries.
- **Where:** San Juan Islands, depart Anacortes or Friday Harbor

- **Why it's special:** Seeing a 30-foot orca surface 50 feet from you in a small boat is a core memory.

### 12. Rent a Boat on Lake Chelan + Jump Off Cliffs

- **Where:** Vantage, WA (~2.5 hrs east)

- **Why it's special:** Mars-like landscape 2 hours from Seattle. The basalt columns look alien. Great group activity.

### 14. Whitewater Rafting — Wenatchee River (Class III)
- **What:** Half-day guided raft trip through Tumwater Canyon. Legit rapids, cold water, guaranteed someone falls in.
- **Where:** Leavenworth, WA

### 15. Mountain Bike Duthie Hill + Post-Ride Brewery

- **What:** Pick 3 peaks near Snoqualmie Pass (e.g., Snoqualmie, Guye, Kendall) and tag all three sunrise to sunset. Make it a competition.
- **Where:** Snoqualmie Pass (~1 hr east)
- **Cost:** ~$30 (gas + Northwest Forest Pass)
- **Time:** Full day, start at 5 AM
- **Why it's special:** Turn hiking into a sport. Track times, talk trash, push each other. Way better than "let's go on a hike."

### 17. Overnight Sailing Trip — Puget Sound

- **Why it's special:** Walking through pitch-black century-old train tunnels in the mountains is genuinely eerie and cool. Great group adventure.

### 19. Drive to Tofino, BC — Surf Trip
- **What:** Road trip to Vancouver Island's west coast. Learn to surf (yes, in the Pacific Northwest). Cold water, wetsuits, legit waves.
- **Where:** Tofino, BC (~6 hrs drive + ferry)
- **Cost:** ~$150-200/night lodging + $80 surf lesson + gas/ferry (~$500 total for weekend)
- **Time:** Long weekend (Fri-Sun)
- **Why it's special:** Most people don't know you can surf in the PNW. Tofino is world-class. The drive through BC is gorgeous. EV6 range handles it with charging stops.

### 20. Paragliding at Tiger Mountain
- **What:** Tandem paraglide launch from Tiger Mountain with views of the Cascades, Bellevue, and Seattle.
- **Where:** Tiger Mountain, Issaquah (~30 min)
- **Cost:** ~$250-300 tandem
- **Time:** 2-3 hrs
- **Why it's special:** Running off a mountain and floating over the trees. Different fear than skydiving — you're *in control* of the glide. The quiet is surreal.
